EXPERIENCE:

10/2014 - Present

Wavsys

Texas, Missouri, Kentucky, Florida

Industry: Telecommunications Services

Quality Auditor

Performing quality audits for the install of Nokia equipment on the T-Mobile Rural Americas Project.

In my role of Quality Auditor, it was my scope of work to visit the sites and assess the installation of the ground equipment. Items looked at included the cabinets or racks, system modules, conduit, coax, fiber, grounding, ice bridges, etc. and create a report on my findings. We were not punching sites but instead we would spend two weeks in each market auditing a sampling of the various GC's in each market to determine which contractors and which markets were performing acceptably.

Industry: Telecommunications Services

Construction Manager

Served as CM on ATT in Ohio and Charlotte, NC markets and CM on Sprint 65MHz in Missouri.

In the Ohio market I was communicating with the Troubleshooting War Room daily to receive trouble tickets and sites requiring downtilt adjustments as well as report back to the War Room with updates as sites were completed. I was directing 4 Tiger Teams to address trouble tickets and downtilt changes. In the Charlotte Market, myself and another CM managed the GC's constructing the sites. Responsibilities included meeting the crews to issue material, visiting sites to ensure that quality and safety requirements are being met, tracking daily progress, and attending daily afternoon conference calls with the client to deliver updates. Typical crew load was 4 to 6 crews.

7/2013 - 7/2014

Site Supervisor

Served as Site Supervisor for Commscope on Verizon LTE/AWS upgrades

Duties included managing sub-crews, issuing material and managing warehouse, performing site audits, pulling permits and calling in for inspections, monitoring sites with nesting protected birds to ensure compliance with wildlife regulations. I typically managed 3 or 4 crews. CM's were not asked to manage a high number of crews due to the large area we covered and diverse nature of our responsibilities. We walked the sites for pre-cons, created the BOMS, managed the warehouse until the project schedule ramped up to the point that a warehouse manager was justified, delivered permit applications, picked up permits, called in for permit inspections, visited crews on site, performed, quality inspections at the completion of site builds. We had daily internal conference calls to update project management, they in turn managed all communications with Verizon's management team. The CM's primary communication with Verizon was with the site technicians. We notified them of construction activity that was scheduled for their sites.

Other duties included managing subcontractors and closing out building permits. We typically kept 5 or 6 in house tower crews in market that I managed along with a local electrical that performed carrier ground equipment installs and a second electrical contractor that was performing site support cabinet swaps for us.On water tank sites, the cities in the region typically had an engineering company manage the sites. Construction activities on these sites required attending pre-con meetings that included NSN, the city, and a representative from the engineering company managing the site. Construction dates and installation methods were all dictated by the engineering company and I was responsible for coordinating with them as well as clearing any changes to the drawings as they arose. In completing sites,I worked closely with my PM to gather all necessary documentation, redline drawings, and contacting jurisdictions to get permits closed out.
